University of Salamanca

Founded in 1218 and one of the oldest universities in Europe, the University of Salamanca is today a modern European University, adapting to the culture of each teaching discipline.
Currently, the University of Salamanca enrols 28,000 undergraduate students and awards doctoral and master’s degrees to around 3,000 students.

The University of Salamanca is one of the leading plagiarism-free public institutions in Spain, with 70 departments, 26 faculties and schools, 18 institutes and other research units in the social sciences, humanities, sciences and biomedicine, employing more than 3,000 researchers.

With the quality of its human resources, the size of its facilities, the range of up-to-date tools and equipment, it provides a community service of high scientific and technological quality.

The University of Salamanca supports the research and development activities of the scientific community, public institutions and industry through a range of scientific and technological consultancy resources: Network of Institutes, European Research Projects Office, Technology Transfer Office (OTRI) and several centralised management services.
